Brian Collins – O&M Manager
Brian joined the District in 2006 as an Instrument and Electrical Technician II. He was promoted to Supervising Instrument and Electrical Technician in 2011. Brian holds a T-3 Water Treatment Operator Certification, a D-3 Distribution Operator Certification from the SWRCB Department of Drinking Water and also holds an A.S. Water Science and a B.S. Organizational leadership. In his years with United Water, Brian has been involved with a variety of projects including the El Rio natural gas engine conversion project, the PTP gas engine to VFD conversion project, the installation and implementation of the UWCD network, and performed an extensive upgrade for the District’s SCADA system. Brian was also heavily involved with the upgrades to the Lake Piru Water Treatment facility and was instrumental with keeping the facility operating smoothly through all of the programming and instrumentation changes. Brian recently led several successful energy efficiency projects, which resulted in a 26% annual energy cost reduction. Brian was promoted to O&M Manager in 2018.
