Evan Lashly – Associate Ecologist

Evan Lashly joined the District in 2014, and currently serves as Associate Ecologist in the Environmental Planning and Conservation Department. Evan holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science and Resource Management from California State University Channel Islands and is a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture. During his career with the District, Evan has supported the District’s environmental and conservation initiatives intended to ensure regulatory compliance and long term sustainability of the District’s water resource management objectives. In this capacity, he has planned, managed, and implemented invasive species management programs, sensitive species and habitat surveys, and water quality investigations. He has contributed to the Districts efforts on a wide range of water resource management issues, and administrated compliance activities under federal, state, and local environmental authorizations for District activities. Evan strives to represent the District’s interests in addressing environmental matters in an environmentally responsible manner that maximizes the District’s ability to achieve its water resource management goals
