United Water Conservation District from time to time may issue an RFP, or a request for proposal for a particular project. These documents will outline project specifics such as scope and price and ask potential vendors to come back with a bid for the work. Multiple bids are then compared to help determine the best choice. NOTICE OF INFORMATION-SHARING MEETINGS
UWCD is offering one-on-one, informal, and non-binding site visits and information-sharing meetings to any and all contractors interested in the Santa Felicia Dam Safety Improvement Project – Outlet Works Improvement Project (the “Project”). Site visits and Information sharing meetings are not mandatory but are encouraged by UWCD to promote the free exchange of information concerning Project requirements and available options for completing the Project.
UWCD will accept meeting requests through the 2026 calendar year. Please note these site visits and meetings are intended only for contractors with the capacity and interest to perform as the prime contractor. Requests from subcontractors and vendors will not be considered at this time. If interested, please contact Mr. Adrian Quiroz, Deputy Chief Dam Safety Engineer/Senior Engineer at adrianq@unitedwater.org.
PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST
Under the California Public Records Act, citizens have a right to access public information by government agencies. Public records are all documents of the District retained in the ordinary course of business, except those specifically exempted by law.
Public records include:
- Minutes, resolutions, agreements
- Correspondence and miscellaneous public records
- Audit and financial documents
- Engineering or planning public records
Public records are open to inspection during normal office hours at the District’s headquarters located at 1701 N. Lombard St., Suite 200, Oxnard, California.
The District will respond within 10 days of receiving a request to determine whether the records requested are subject to disclosure under the Public Records Act; this period may be extended by the District for an additional 14 days. If the records are available, the records will be produced within a reasonable amount of time thereafter.
